“Don’t put an Age Limit on your Dreams”

18 August 2008 No Comment

Said Dara Torres, the 2008 Olympic Silver medalist at Beijing, and a participant in the last five consecutive Olympics.

Did I forgot to mention that she has won 12 medals, and is a proud 41 year-old mother of a 2 year-old toddler?

Amazing!

I greatly enjoyed watching her performance two nights ago–albeit disappointed watching her lose the gold metal in her last race by only 1/100 th of a second. But considering that she was competing against world class athletes half her age, her achievement is astounding.

Now, back to her quote:

Do dreams have an age limit?

Can we remodel our thinking, change our perspectives, and make time to accomplish our dreams?

If you want your dreams to have a possibility of coming true, you must.

Dreams are what keep us going–dreams of our future, dreams of our business, but most importantly, dreams of where our health will be 10, 20, or 30 or more years from now.

No matter what your age, achieving your dreams is within your range.

As any of the athletes at the Olympic Games will tell you, it does require ambition, dedication, commitment, and hard work to accomplish them.

Do you have the necessary drive to full fulfill your dreams?

As Dara Torres aptly reminded us, age is just a number in our heads and our dreams are within our reach by tomorrow, because

After all, it’s about a healthy lifestyle!
